Conduct 3 Sharing Appointments Using the Marketing Video Method

We learned this week that, on average, 1 out of 5 people that we share the business opportunity with will join our team. How exciting to be in control of the work that we do, and therefore, the outcome that we get!


Remember, you might need to ask more than 3 people to get 3 people to hold!

 

Script to book Sharing Appointments:


Hey Megan! I hope you're having a great day! Question for you... I'm in training for my first promotion in my Mary Kay business, and as part of my training, I need three women to watch a video about Mary Kay's business opportunity. I know that Mary Kay is probably something you would never consider doing for yourself, which is perfectly ok with me, but just for watching the video it helps me stay on target for my promotion!! Would you be free for like 15 mins sometime this week to do that? I'll give you a little gift for your time, and you'll get entered into a drawing for a free Michael Kors handbag!


  • Include a picture of the handbag that they'll get entered to win.


  • You can put anything you're working towards instead of "first promotion," such as the Star Consultant prize you're working towards, your Red Jacket, your first free car, etc. 


  • I usually include 3 emojis at the end after "Michael Kors handbag": lipstick, smiley face, and handbag.


  • The gift I give is a Deluxe Mini product from Section 2 samples, such as a mini Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover, mini Satin Hands hand cream, or another product that I think she will love. You can give her whatever you'd like to give. 


  • You can change the script to simply say they'll get entered into a drawing for a free Handbag if you don't want to offer a free gift. Do what works best for you and your business!


Tips for success:

  • Book a time within 24 hours (if possible) to hold the call with her BEFORE you send her any videos. Make sure she understands to watch the video before your scheduled time of talking. 


  • Tell her to come up with 2-4 questions to ask you. 


  • If you don't know the answers to her questions, that's perfectly ok! Tell her that's a great question, you don't know the answer to it, but you will find out and get back to her. You can even joke with her and say she gets bonus points for asking you a question that you don't know! This will alleviate any pressure you put on yourself. Remember, it's ok to not know it all!

Watch these Marketing Videos so you know what is available to send to your potential team members.

For this week's exercise, we're going to practice sharing the business opportunity using videos.

However, I don't ALWAYS send videos; it's more of a person-by-person case based on my relationship with them.


I send 2-3 videos that I think would be the best fit for her/that she'd best relate to, and tell her that she only needs to watch one of them, so she can choose which one she watches. Oftentimes if she's very interested in the opportunity, she might end up watching more than one, which offers additional inspiration and belief that she, too, can do it. 


Make sure to save these in the Notes on your phone for quick/easy access.


Also, I only text her the Name and the video, not the description that goes along with it. The description is to remind you who each video is good for you after you've watched them.
